When scrolling down the list of ideas in any community, when I find one I would like to comment on and go to the comment screen, make a comment and vote, when I go back to the list of ideas it defaults back to the top of the list forcing me to again scroll down to find my place. I don't check the communities daily so when I do sometimes there are a lot of suggestions to go through. Needs to be a way to return to exactly ...more »
I see posts I'd like to refer to again. For example, an idea is posted that already has a solution, or at least a work-around, and a comment gives instructions. Some of these ideas have LONG sections of comments. I'd like to be able to mark a specific post for later reference, rather than rely on browser bookmarks that default to the top of the page.
It would be helpful to allow a comment to be associated with member accounts, visible and editable from the Administrator's view of the member's profile, and from the Members section of the community settings.
For example, when a member request is rejected or a member is banned, a reason for that decision would be very helpful.
A new shadow has recently started to appear across the top of our community header. It appears to be linked to a new status message area that descends from the top margin and then rolls back up out of view.
It is affecting multiple IdeaScale communities and across all browsers: Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox.
Screenshot is attached.
In playing with the alpha I noticed it only supported up/down for a test community that was poker style voting... I'm assuming this is going to be addressed...or will we have to convert our community to an up/down voting system?
Instead of getting e-mails to approve new users I simply get an e-mail that there is a new user. This change appears to have happened in the last week or so. Please fix the Pending Moderator Approval functionality. Now users who sign-up simply have a status of New instead of Pending Moderator Approval. This security hole is fairly recent as it was working up through the end of the year.
We've noticed over the past few days that when we approve ideas via e-mail it changes them to Closed. Kind of embarrassing. We had someone ask us why their idea was turned down already...when in fact it was just an error in the approval.
Some of our customers have had ideas get completed already in the Poker Chip voting community. However, we noticed that they are not getting their votes back automatically. They have to manually reclaim them... This is an issue that needs to be resolved before people give up on using the system because they never get their votes back. Reclaiming manually after it is complete is bad for several reasons: 1.) It changes ...more »
I noticed today (after we spent months reviewing IdeaScale, selling the concept to management, and now finally implementing with our users) that you have changed the "rules" of the game for how IdeaScale can be implemented. A Limit of 200 users for our password restricted user communities is unacceptable. I strongly encourage you to reconsider the use case our company has because this will not work for us. It would ...more »
"Poker Chip Voting" needs to show a breakdown of who voted and how many votes they cast. We have customers using this method now and we can't tell if it is just one person who used all their votes on one idea or if a lot of people voted for an idea. We need to know who is supporting the idea and how much they support it.
