Monthly Leaderboard in Sidebar

Allow for the Monthly Leaderboard to be displayed in the Sidebar (where the Historical Leaderboard is currently), so the most active, current participants see their names on the Front Page. This would help encourage continued participation, especially for new community members who would take years to get to top 10 of the Historical Leaderboard.

Yearly Leaderboard

In our Company we have a few member which were really active some years ago but this year some others were much more active.
However the leaderboard is showing the alltime most active members. For us it would be the best, if there is a yearly leaderboard beside the alltime leaderboard. I talked with @{p:831134} and he told me that they will reset it every year at the 01.01 and send me the leaderboard... more »

Badges 2.0 aka rewards

Idea for enhancement to the leaderboard. What if in addition to gamifying the platform with the leaderboard, the leaderboard could also be used to administer rewards. This isn't a fully developed idea but I'm thinking something similar to how we use tacos in slack. Certain activities in the platform would be rewarded with points. Then you could use those points and redeem them for awards. Something like instead of... more »

Incremental Improvement to Badges

When a user unlocks a new badge, that badge shouldn't only appear in notifications but as a pop up inside the community. This feedback would improve the overall experience and - I think - make this part of the user experience more fun. Imagine you submit a comment and then get a pop up, "Congratulations, you've unlocked the BLANK badge - click here to share this accomplishment with others" or something similar to that.... more »

Ideas light bulb emojis - different themed badges

In reviewing the gamification badges, I think we should create less badges and perhaps have them all in the ideas "light bulb" theme.

As Erik has mentioned with LinkedIn reactions, could we consider leveraging these themes to an extent since they will likely become known labels: like, celebrate, love, insightful, curious. I tend to think like is overdone, so unless it is celebrate then don't bother. And curious isn't... more »

short term games

Allow us to run a short term promotion of a competition/game/raffle on a campaign over a given time period. Running the competition isn't so hard with the data we have today, but promoting it and recognizing the leader through the application is where it really falls short. Perhaps the solution could be some type of management for the promotion. Set start and end dates and which type of contribution will count (idea,... more »

Kudos future release - customized leadership emojis for customers

As we've discussed rev I think 2.0 could include customized emoji options for clients. i.e. If Western Power wanted to allow their Execs to add fuel to ideas, they could comment on their addition to the business case, and give a relevant emoji. In Western Power's case, this could be a lightning bolt! This drive leadership to get into the platform, and also gives idea submitters that good feeling knowing leadership... more »

More kudos to award

Daily one kudo is ok, but when we want to appreciate other good ideas, often it seems less. I wish I had 5 kudos daily so that I can award more. Some more thoughts:
- giving 5 kudos total unlocks another 5 kudos (encourage engagement)
- 3 kudos daily for Moderators on login
- not only login, but commenting, idea submission also unlocks 1 kudo for each action (limit 1 kudo for any number of comment daily, 1 kudo for any... more »
