Detailed report on a particular idea. Give an idea number, get a list of who voted, how they voted, etc.
Is it possible to implement a 'What's new' feature where people can see what has happened since their last login? So they could immediatelly see on what ideas others voted, what has been commented etc. etc. My clients are currently a bit confused because they don't really know what to do when coming to the plattform. Seeing stuff that is currently discussed, commented, voted on etc. would help them to find their way ...more »
Why continue to allow votes for those ideas in progress or complete? It makes no sense. It would make more sense to "simply" have a list of ideas in progress or complete without seeing the votes. This way a user also doesn't ask "why is this one in progress when it received only 2 votes as opposed to another one that hasn't been done yet that has 17 votes?". So ... remove the ability to continue to vote on those in ...more »
User shouldn't need to create Gravatar account to profile image. This is really inconveinient.
We frequently see new Ideas entered where the author of the Idea does not remember to vote for it. It would be great if, upon submission of a new Idea, the author is prompted to Vote for it. There is a use case where someone is entering a suggestion based on feedback from someone else (for example, Moderators seeding ideas into the system), but this is not the normal case... The author should be allowed to opt out of ...more »
Give users the ability to 'abstain' from voting on a particular idea but still show the idea as voted on.
With the vast number of ideas I try to not re-read them, but if there are some that I don't feel strongly about either way I won't vote. Then they still show the vote up or vote down buttons. If there was an option to abstain (think mark as read) that would help me manage Ideascale as a user.
When an idea is submitted with custom fields data, that data comes into the idea detail page above the idea description. Since custom fields data is most often supplementary to the idea being submitted, it would make more sense that this info would be displayed BELOW the idea description. In our IdeaScale community there seems to be some community trolls that actively "flag" other participants' comments as inappropriate, even though they are not. This creates extra work for our moderators as they need to review these flagged comments and return those to the platform. I'd like to send private messages to these active flaggers and remind them about the guidelines in the community and tell them not to flag ...more »
I would love the ability to search for members as well as ideas from the search bar. Sometimes you want to see all the ideas a member has contributed to a certain campaign. Or maybe you just need to find someone in order to “follow” them. Either way it’s kinda tough to locate people in the current system.
We would like to be able to assign a third type of community member. This member would be granted read-only access to the community but would not be permitted to vote on or enter content into the community. We have ideas communities that allow customers to voice their ideas for the enhancement of our products. Our policy is that only our customers may vote on ideas so internal members do not skew the data. We ...more »
have the option to show how many positive and negative votes each idea gets, not just the net votes
Whitespace is an important part of communications. When email messages for idea activity are produced, the entire message is reduced to one paragraph. This descreases the effectiveness of the communication.
Any linebreaks in text and comments should be preserved in email notifications for these items.
