Wouldn't it be great if we could tag or label an idea with a cetain word or topic and the idea would be routed to the person responsible for that topic...
Moderation & Administration
Currently, when new idea approval is turned on, a real-time notification goes out to moderators. There are two links in there: approve or reject. What if we added a third that said something like "Help this user improve this idea"? The link would keep the idea in pending, but it would provide an easy way for moderators to communicate what the user needs to change before the idea goes live. This seems like a more useful ...more »
Date stamp ideas as they move from stage to stage. One of the issues that we have is that with over 500 ideas in the system, trying to see of how long ideas are sitting in a specific stage is difficult. It would be nice to run a report or have the ability to export the data that would allow us to easily identify ideas have been sitting stagnant. This would allow us to ping idea owners and help them get the idea moving ...more »
There should be a way to generate an excel report that shows the total value score and/or impact ratio given by each reviewer for reach idea. The general excel report summary only includes L/M/H scores for each reviewer and one total value/impact score for each idea. It doesn’t break the value/impact scores down by reviewer.
Based on some values that a user chooses, other choices must be limited / narrowed down. How can we configure and use some validations – e.g. a. As we are using SSO, we can pull in Location and OU and other information from the SAML source into the User Profile and pre-populate some of the answers – while still allowing user to change if the default value is not appropriate to the current idea. b. In case this is not ...more »
The person /s designated as Administrator of any site get unlimited access and permissions by default - they are members of all "Groups" can view and post into any and all campaigns etc. This is not correct. Also the Administrative permissions are assigned to the users ID with which they sign in - e.g. as we have implemented SSO - as son as I sign into ideascale I am able to do almost anything (except testing of conditions ...more »
When we use one of the templates for a Refine Stage – we face another set of problems. See examples below: a. Each question needs its respective answer to be saved separately. i. Can there be a single save at the end of several questions ii. Can there be partitions or boxes to indicate separate sections b. For choices made from drop down lists – even if a single choice is made the entire list is displayed i. The chosen ...more »
4) The templates available for Refine Stage are limited in nature. We will like to be have access to more such templates. Also, if we spend our time and effort to draft a set of questions that we would like to standardize – how to set this as a “template” so that we can use if in any future campaign funnel stage/s we wish to use for, later. Pl see example below:
The terms used for sub settings under data exports look similar and it makes me difficult to differentiate it.
For example 'export idea data' and 'Ideascale data export', 'schedule idea data export' and 'schedule ideascale data export'. I would suggest to rename & reorder it as shown in attached image so that it is easy to navigate & find the correct report without confusion
Box are doing some good work around workflow creation and progress visualization that could provide inspiration to both the reporting and campaign creation projects: https://www.box.com/collaboration/relay-workflow
settings required at admin and moderator's level to manage delete document option at each stage.
Like if idea is already approved by moderator or cross different stages of an idea, author should not be able to delete or modify that document.
This will help to retain original documents and help to avoid data manipulations after approvals
We would love the option to make the moderator notifications more personalized per sub-category in a campaign. This will help the moderators filter through the ideas they need to check in with versus the ones that do not fall under their umbrella of responsibility. We would also love to see more information about the idea submitter in the notifications. It will give the moderator more context. I saw both of these ideas ...more »
