Scenario - I have a colleague and want to add them to a community and then upgrade them to admin. Current workflow: Add them to the community. send them an email saying "Hey Pat, can you let me know when you joined, so I can upgrade you?". wait for the email that Pat may or may not send to me to let me know. Eventually come back and upgrade Pat to admin. I would prefer to add Pat and upgrade him to admin in two actions ...more »
Moderation & Administration
It would be great if auto assigned groups could be created based on answers provided in multiple-choice member profile registration questions.
Reporting information from Ideascale on a deeper level is something Amway is interested in. We'd like to understand a user's sentiment- the way a user feels as they are submitting ideas or comments. Maybe this could be read through their tone, but that isn't very concrete and useful. This level of reporting would add a deeper understanding as to why the user posted an idea or comment. Normally this can be measured in ...more »
I know it's been brought up many times before, but I'd love to be able to give a few customized badges. As an example, we have an annual Innovation Awards ceremony where our leadership chooses five of the best ideas from across all of our campaigns. I'd love to be able to slap an "Innovation Award Winner" badge on those folks.
I think it'd be useful to have duration-based stage automation. In other words, have automation rules that admins can set up to automatically move an idea from Stage X to Stage Y after XX days of inactivity or since submission. This would help moderators in high-volume communities clear out old or inactive ideas. Our lookback notifications help on the user/submitter side, but if those users don't take action, we don't ...more »
Wouldn't it be great if we could tag or label an idea with a cetain word or topic and the idea would be routed to the person responsible for that topic...And then that person would have moderation permissions for that idea.
Currently, when new idea approval is turned on, a real-time notification goes out to moderators. There are two links in there: approve or reject. What if we added a third that said something like "Help this user improve this idea"? The link would keep the idea in pending, but it would provide an easy way for moderators to communicate what the user needs to change before the idea goes live. This seems like a more useful ...more »
Date stamp ideas as they move from stage to stage. One of the issues that we have is that with over 500 ideas in the system, trying to see of how long ideas are sitting in a specific stage is difficult. It would be nice to run a report or have the ability to export the data that would allow us to easily identify ideas have been sitting stagnant. This would allow us to ping idea owners and help them get the idea moving ...more »
There should be a way to generate an excel report that shows the total value score and/or impact ratio given by each reviewer for reach idea. The general excel report summary only includes L/M/H scores for each reviewer and one total value/impact score for each idea. It doesn’t break the value/impact scores down by reviewer.
Based on some values that a user chooses, other choices must be limited / narrowed down. How can we configure and use some validations – e.g. a. As we are using SSO, we can pull in Location and OU and other information from the SAML source into the User Profile and pre-populate some of the answers – while still allowing user to change if the default value is not appropriate to the current idea. b. In case this is not ...more »
The person /s designated as Administrator of any site get unlimited access and permissions by default - they are members of all "Groups" can view and post into any and all campaigns etc. This is not correct. Also the Administrative permissions are assigned to the users ID with which they sign in - e.g. as we have implemented SSO - as son as I sign into ideascale I am able to do almost anything (except testing of conditions ...more »
