On my first day here I set up my new IdeaScale account! When I went to create my account, I noticed that all new users have to designate what time zone they sit in, The drop-down box to select your time zone features many, many cities to choose from. It'd be a smoother first time login experience if the various cities were grouped into more generalized time-zone clusters. For example, there were many EST cities to ...more »
Our users find it very frustrating that when they go into an idea and then click back button it takes you back to the top of the screen instead of where you left off. This can be very frustrating when you have a campaign with numerous ideas and you have to continuously scroll back to where you were. Have the functionality to take a user back to their specific spot on a page.
I miss the idea to manually choose the order in which ideas are displayed. This would be particularly useful when asking users to vote for their favourite idea when needing to choose between similar concepts.
The pilot capability to link ideas does not fully meet the expected needs of our moderators, who require the ability to: ‐ Link ideas by categorization within a high‐level or summary topic or trend. USCG Feedback on IdeaScale’s Moderation Dashboard 16‐Apr‐18 ‐ View the information in a separate window, as opposed to a “linked” idea that redirects users to the IdeaScale main viewing page, to increase usability. I noticed that upon completion of the ReviewScale stage, the Value Factor and Cost Factor data are displayed, but the Constraints data is not displayed. Why are these results absent from the "latest results" display? This would be useful to us.

In some instances, your innovation workflow involves a more analog component. For example, after a refine and team building step, the team may want to discuss their idea in a workshop to review the idea and refine further. 🚀 The idea here would be to allow admins to add a stage to their funnel that was essentially "blank", or in other words, not require any action. Almost like a holding area to communicate to the community ...more »
First, the spreadsheet should be more easily accessible. It is very difficult to find. Second, when you download the excel spreadsheet the numbers are not values instead they are "numbers stored as text". This means everything has to be converted to numbers before you can do any analysis, sorting, etc.
Add the ability to add tags to multiple records at once similar to how the Bulk Move, Bulk Delete, or Bulk Merge work now.
We've been discussing that it would be nice to have a page that strictly lists all the ideas that have been implemented or completed. So once you moderate the status of an idea to "implemented" it would populate to a page that we would have listed at the top as a separate tab. Our employees voice a concern about being able to easily search through ideas. I think this would help alleviate this a little bit.
I miss the option to add a field in Refine and Review Stage where you can simply select Yes or No. This would make is easier to filter ideas at the end of your submission based on the answers that are given.
In order to help users track what ideas they have already voted on, or commented on, there could be an indication icon/icons on each idea description.
