allow users to reply to comment thread via email

When IdeaScale user "follow" and idea on which they've commented, they receive emails when subsequent comments or attachments are left at the idea. (They also receive notification of idea status change).

Some online comment threads (blogs, forums, support portals) like IdeaScale's enable users to post directly back to the thread via the emails they receive. Would you please consider enabling this function?

move the COMMENT CONTROL BOX up..

Happy New Year 2014 to you all! May I please be allowed to submit an engineering suggestion to your Support Team and Developers to consider? It has to do with the placement of the COMMENT CONTROL BOX at the bottom of the candidate‚Äôs IDEA page. It is making it very difficult for VOTERS to submit COMMENTS for the Innovation they are voting for. Is it possible to bring the COMMENT CONTROL BOX from the bottom of the Idea ...more »

Provide more feedback when approving or rejecting links

I share responsibilities with another moderator to approve new Account requests and new Idea submissions that require approval. It is very hard to figure out where one person left off, and where to resume. I've noticed lately that the links provided in the email notifications expire very quickly. That is frustrating, but more frustrating is that I don't seem to be able to find out whether a particular account or idea ...more »

Poker Chip Style Voting

Many customers have asked for "Poker Chip" style voting whereby each user in a community is limited in the number of votes they can allocate to an idea. This is especially ideal for product development, whereby it can be difficult to ascertain from your audience which product/feature idea is most important to your user base. This is what we have in mind: -Add vote breakdown so the community can see if an idea is popular ...more »

Have "Idea Edit" workflow include name

Summary: When sending out a moderation email saying an idea has been edited, include the name of the person who did the editing. We are currently using the Idea Edit Workflow for a project and it is working great! The only downside is we do not know who edits. We do want moderators to editing, but want to ensure end users don't. The constant emails saying the idea has been edited are a little disconcerting in this context ...more »

Create custom tabs that can filter ideas

Some communities will include a mixture of seeded ideas from the client they want input on, as well as new ideas from the community. It would be helpful to be able to create a tab that filters ideas - example - Ideas Posted by Internal. This came up in the Kellogg's community where they wanted to separate the ideas they posted from the ideas from the community to ensure participants were able to be focused on evaluating ...more »

Make it easier for users to see the badges they earned.

It is a bit clumsy for users to find the badges they earn.

Add an explicit button for badges to Profile?

Merging of ideas

When you merge ideas you lose the idea number and title for all of the ideas beyond the primary one. This makes it difficult to go back and find any one particular idea later. For example i am trying to locate one specific idea, no 2200 on our ideascale. When i type 2200 into the search function it comes up with nothing. I tried typing some of the word that were originally in the title, still cant find it. The ideas was ...more »

Moderator comment before approving for community view

In a community that has comment moderation it would be helpful to have the ability for moderators to comment to the poster. Currently moderators can approve a post or deny a post. In a situation such as government there are posts that mix good ideas with political statements. It would be helpful if moderators could inform poster that their post does not conform to the terms they have agreed to and they have two options ...more »

Contentious Sorting Tab

How about creating another optional sorting tab to bring the most controversial ideas (high up and down votes) to the top? This would be available to activate when up and down voting is enabled. This would highlight the ideas that people don't agree on and for what reasons. In the right circumstances it would encourage people to get involved. A few websites i have visited have this feature and it is particularily interesting ...more »

Helper text on custom field questions

Another post to engage this crowd: Would it be helpful to have editable helper text for custom field questions? This could be in the form of a hover, a clickable (i) or it could simply reside below the question itself, before the the answer field.
