Poker Chip Voting: Need Vote Distribution
Test Under Review
"Poker Chip Voting" needs to show a breakdown of who voted and how many votes they cast. We have customers using this method now and we can't tell if it is just one person who used all their votes on one idea or if a lot of people voted for an idea. We need to know who is supporting the idea and how much they support it.

We also need this an an internal check system. We have lots of internal users who we do not want voting on suggestions, but simply the ability to read and see the latest activity. Without knowing who is voting for ideas we have no way to verify for sure that we are making decisions based strictly on customer input and not someone internal who is accidentally voting (ignorantly or otherwise).

Without this feedback, we also cannot tell if 20 people voted for an idea, or one person allocated 20 votes to the idea. Both cases are significant, but differ in meaning.

Our participants are already asking to be able to see this information, too.

Is there some kind of a report that can put this information in a CSV or Excel file? We're seeing the activity we hoped for, but we can't get at the details...

I was asked to tell who voted for what suggestions again today. As far as I know there is still no way to see the break down of votes in poker style voting, is that correct?

So, our customers are catching on to the loophole that they can stack the deck in their favor by signing up multiple participants and assigning all of their votes to a single idea.

While this is within the letter of the law, it's not within the spirit of the law, and we need to take steps to limit the influence of any one firm.

Our code of conduct requires participants to identify their organization, so we have a good idea when this starts to happen, but neither we nor any other participant can presently get to the voting details to prove that a high vote count comes from a small number of participants from a single entity.

We have intentionally limited our influence to two participants in your forum. If we had multiple votes to spend here, we would put many of them on this one.

Any chance of a Christmas present here?

I'd also like to see a vote breakdown by user. Any idea when this might get implemented?

I'm just evaluating IdeaScale, but this would be a very significant item for us.

The hole in our ability to evaluate the voting patterns in our community is growing over time. Is there no way that this information can be provided? How about a downloadable report if the user interface cannot be quickly enhanced to show these details?

Something as simple as this would go a long way to helping us know how people are voting...
