Custom Fields need to be editable and have separate CSS
Test Under Review
I've been playing around with Custom Fields (for consideration in actual implementation) and have found them to be too limited at this point to be practical, especially since I can't control the way they look via CSS. Also, if I make a mistake (or the customer makes a mistake or typo) there is no way to correct it without blowing away (losing) the whole idea. So the moderator really needs to be able to have a way to modify the contents of a custom field.

I know it is just a matter of time before this type of thing is implemented, but since I was testing them I thought I would provide some feedback.

Couldn't agree more. Will be very powerful, not ready for prime-time yet.

We are very eagerly awaiting the ability to modify Custom Fields. We would like to use IdeaScale as a private communication channel between the various participants, including Development, Consulting, and Support. The comment history of who said what, when, would allow us to ensure that the details don't get lost in email chains to various people.

Since our use would include status information and issue parameters, non-Editable Custom Fields prevent us from using IdeaScale as a collaborative issue management conversation record.

Here's hoping the recent lull is a prelude to a major set of new features...

We still need to be able to change custom field values.

We've seen this as a request from a few people. We are working this into our development queue now.
